About

Michael Lanfield is an author of six books including the #1 Amazon best-selling books, The Interconnectedness of Life and The Journey, and his newest, Return to the Gentle Sea: For the Love That Lives in Everyone. He is also a vegan advocate, YouTuber, certified World Peace Diet Facilitator, and has lectured in Canada and Costa Rica. He has been featured on dozens of FM/AM radio stations, podcasts/webinars, various websites, magazines, and media outlets, sharing veganism to millions of people around the world. Inspired by Dr. Will Tuttle, Mango Wodzak, and Dr. Casey Taft, his talks are informative, inspiring, and interactive.

As a teenager, Michael dreamed of being a musician, record producer, DJ, and entrepreneur. In 2006, he started to work as a mobile DJ at weddings and corporate events, but this changed when he had an awakening to veganism in 2009. About a year later, he decided to pursue a career in writing, which developed into blogs and his first full-length book The Interconnectedness of Life. As the main principle of the Toronto Vegan Expo, FARM Pay-Per-View in Toronto and TARVE (also know as Toronto Animal Rights & Vegan Expo), Michael had very prominent roles within the Toronto and worldwide vegan communities, leafleting more than 75,000 vegan pamphlets, and reaching millions of YouTube, Google+, and Facebook views. He also volunteered with Compassion for Animals in Burlington, Ontario, Toronto Vegetarian Association, The Save Movement (Toronto Pig/Cow/Chicken Save), Direct Action Everywhere (DxE), and Anonymous for the Voiceless reaching the masses with the vegan message.

He is the founder of We Are Interconnected, where he releases his own books and other mediums and Peaceful Village, an online vegan community plan and future intentional vegan community. Michael lives a vegan straight edge (no alcohol, drugs or smoking) and a simple, minimalist lifestyle, and gives away many of his books for free, as he believes the vegan message of love and compassion must be shared with as many people as possible. He is available for international talks and interviews in person or through Skype.
